As the technician in charge of installing all of the network and communications wiring in your company's new facility, you are faced with a major dilemma. You have literally hundreds of different wires that you must install in dozens of offices, server rooms and out on the production floor. The vast majority of these wires are virtually indistinguishable from each other, yet you need to know exactly where each one comes from and where it is going. The best way to handle this is to use a heat shrinkable wire marker to identify each wire as you install it.
When you have this many wires to install, you can throw out the idea of being able to rely on color coding to identify your wires. There simply are not enough colors in the rainbow for this to be a viable alternative. On top of this while you might know which of the dozen or so red wires goes where when you install them, the repair technician that comes after you is not likely to have a clue and can waste many hours trying to figure it out. If you had taken the time to use a heat shrinkable wire marker on each of those red wires, you would have made his job much easier.
The Heat Shrinkable Wire Marker is Very Easy to Use.
When it comes to using some form of a wire marker to identify each wire, you are not going to find anything that is going to be much easier than using a heat shrinkable marker that you can print information on. This type of system will let you print an identifying code or description on the marker that will remain fully legible even after the tubing has been shrunk down onto the outer insulation of the wire or cable. Unlike trying to use a variety of different forms of color coding, being able to identify each wire in this manner makes far more sense.
The one thing you have to keep in mind is that while you may be the person who is performing all of the installation work, you are more than likely not going to be the person who is going to be called when there is a problem. Even if you are the one that is called, there is no way that you are going to be able to remember where each of those red wires goes to when it comes to trouble shooting them. If you use a wire marker on each wire, you can make it very easy to track the problem down and make the necessary repairs.
